Hi there!

I’m Curtis and it’s my goal to help you plan the financial life of your dreams! My wife and I live in Portland, OR and have three wonderful kids. I’ve held a Certified Public Accountant license for 30 years, and I am also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). From an early age I have been fascinated with numbers and finances. Like you, I spent many years focused more on how to spend my money than on planning my finances for the future. Today, I have created a solid financial plan for me and my family and have experience managing multiple clients. I can’t wait to help you as well!

Why I Started Kawasaki Financial

Back when I started planning my financial future, I realized how complex the whole process could be, even for a numbers person like me. As I did my research on other financial advisors, their qualifications, and how they could help me, I realized I had the acumen to do it myself. So I set out on my journey to add another credential to my almost 30-year CPA license, the CFP designation. After years of study, testing, and practice, I achieved this in 2019 and launched my own RIA Firm shortly after.

Why Work With Me

At Kawasaki Financial, I can help people entering any stage of their life and create the financial future that they desire.  I understand how overwhelming the world of finances can be and want to minimize that complexity for my clients by presenting a holistic plan without the confusion of cumbersome financial terminology.

Secondly, when you work with a CPA who also holds the CFP designation, you are working with someone who holds one of the highest levels of fiduciary duty and ethics in the industry. This means that I will work for your best interests as opposed to giving you advice that will generate the highest fees. Few firms have the ability to offer both of these designations within the same office.

Lastly, it’s my priority to manage your accounts to the best of my ability without charging you high commission rates. This means that you pay only a single flat rate while having the freedom to grow your finances without having to continually monitor what you are paying in fees.
